Graham Growing Up

The neighborhood isn't necessarily fit for roaming around, so we just ride up and down our long driveway. It's Graham's favorite past-time and is always asking everyone to take him out there with a grunt and pointing. It's amazing how quickly a child learns to get what he wants!Graham has gotten very good at growling. Very scary sometimes!

Graham the Bird-Eater

Nana says Graham eats just like a little bird with his mouth wide open.
However he eats, eating makes him very, very happy. He makes us very, very happy too

Graham's First Rice Cereal Meal

After another interrupted night's sleep with Graham in our bed, I said in a fit of exhaustion, "Maybe it's time to start feeding this kid rice cereal so maybe he'll sleep through the night." Rich took me seriously and when he got home he started boiling bottled water and mixing up the cereal for Graham. I tried to talk him out of it, but in the end I was pretty excited for the big moment too.



Graham thought the whole thing was great fun! He grabbed the spoon every time and slurped it all up like eating solid food was no big deal to him.



Isaac thought it was great fun too and took a fun doling out the yummy, sloppy stuff. And there, folks, is our latest milestone.


The end of this little story is this: Graham STILL didn't sleep through the night! Sigh.

The Blessed Pacifier

Last week I gave in and bought Graham a pacifier. What a blessed thing it is! When I bought the thing at Target I ripped it open and started using it right away to help us get through the shopping trip. Russell found one and decided to join in the fun. Isaac thinks it's fun to try to wean Graham of it by taking it out of his mouth and saying, "You don't need that!" and then giving it back when he starts crying. This particular picture was taken yesterday while Isaac and I were making dinner--one of the many situations when the pacifier comes in handy.
